A few friends from DW were helping me develop my mapping. They've left that shit forum and now I'm high and dry. I need a new editor. I was using Doom Builder 2, but it's not working for me that well. I hear GZDoom Builder is good, but I can't find it. There's some beta builds on DRDTeam site but I don't know what to get. Help an old idiot with a new editor.
Try the latest. It should work. I have it installed on my machine. The current version(s) of GZdoombuilder is known as the "GZDB Bugfix", which is a continuation of the work made by MaxEd, who quit developing it a while back. Anyway, it has an auto-update function which seems to be working again after being broken for some time. In short, it should be enough to download and install it once.
40oz And who knows, maybe I'm wrong. But that's extremely unlikely because I'm always right.
Maybe there should be a separate topic for this, but anotak posted a disclaimer saying that there are some doom programs that collect information from your computer including your IP address and computer hardware. Danfun asked about it but no answer.
Does anyone know what the fuck he's talking about?
It *might* be GZDoom he's referring to. I updated to version 3.3.0 recently, and when I started it, I was asked if I wanted to contribute some information to the developers. Thanks for letting us know about DBX, by the way. I didn't know that it existed.
