Post some of your favorite tracks found in games that aren't a part of the Doom series!
This track is one of my all time favorite game tracks. It sounds like it'd be very fun to play on the guitar (especially at 00:30 - 00:38)...so my friend and I are talking about learning it, recording it with drums and bass as well...and if we do, I will share it with you guys.
And as an added bonus...

Quite possibly my favorite Half-Life track, closely followed by some from the episodes of HL2:
RIP HL, you deserved a conclusion, but ended up in Pastebin, literally...
The Batman Arkham series also had a solid soundtrack.
One of my favorite racing games ever, absolutely loving Death Rally, a game everyone needs to play at least once in their lives. Oh and ignore the reboot...
Need I say more?
Eternal worshiper of the MK franchise.
The original SW was very atmospheric, and the reboot totally understood this.
Enough for one post.

I like the combat music so much in Deus Ex that I throw stealth out the window just to hear it:

Without a doubt one of the greatest JRPG battle themes ever.
Langrisser II has the best genesis music.
The ENTIRE soundtrack of Soul Nomad & the World Eaters deserves special mention.

From 2 favorite childhood NES games, which I started replaying recently through Mesen. There's also a third game but I'm afraid it might be long forgotten... I don't remember its name and I can't seem to find it without it...

Orgasmic....
And this one always sounded like Nine Inch Nails (With Teeth era), the guitar part in particular

Oh no no, that's beautiful. Glad you made that thread related to this music on DW where you linked to this title, the soundtrack of this game is nothing less than perfect and beautiful. Finishing Amnesia is without a doubt a great achievement, the mechanics of this game are perfect, the real enemy in this game is none other than YOURSELF and your mind.

(yeah Michael Jackson is in this game if you notice on the picture of the characters)
(I have a MIDI of this somewhere though there is a period of silence at the start that needs to be removed)

I recently installed a Zelda music mod for Skyrim. I was thinking of making my own music mod for it, with Castlevania songs. This one would be cool for one of the combat music replacements.

I recently installed a Zelda music mod for Skyrim. I was thinking of making my own music mod for it, with Castlevania songs. This one would be cool for one of the combat music replacements. So I was able to figure out how to replace songs in Skyrim with Castlevania ones. There's a couple steps to it, you need a WMX skyrim converter, for the MP3s you want to replace the songs with. Then you need to create a file structure in the data folder, and place in the songs that will automatically overwrite the original skyrim songs. There's a youtube video tutorial on it, if anyone cares to trying it out for themselves. Well, the end result was not very impressive. It is hard to find songs that will flow well with a game like this. Mainly the "exploration songs" were hard to find a good fit. I think many classic Castlevania songs sound better as combat music for this game. Who ever made the Zelda music mod must have put a lot of thought into the replacement music, because it sounds spot on for Skyrim. I've decided I'll just replace the Skyrim OST with the original movie score from Conan: the Barbarian. Btw, I found this really great rendition of "Silence of Daylight", done in a Castlevania 4 style:

I love musics from arcade games : so upbeat and motivating
The music used in the antares' megawad reminds me of Sonic adventures for some reasons.

Honestly, it feel more appropriate than the the original Skyrim OST. But of course, the game borrows most heavily from it, obviously. This plays during combat, while the other songs play during the exploration of the map:

I want to expand the skyrim Conan mod to now include the soundtrack of Red Sonja by Ennio Morricone. I guess I will have to call it something different now, like "80s Epic-Fantansy Music".
