cool. lot of people wasted their votes on some sperg's "hurr durr leave vr!" but that's never happening. 40oz I know of t-sec excquisite; but any other similar void-fitting midis? Rott's "mist ache" and the like work too. |

Regardless of this; the Chillax 2 bit seems to be winning, as it did the last time too; but at least I've got some rough draft done for one of the E4 levels. Having said this, the one thing that still annoys me is the seam. Goddammit.  |

I can offer some personal opinions; feel free to ignore and disagree on any point of course:
-Sky platforming is cool, though, I feel like you should consider using that z-dimension more. I think I might be a Quake-person stuck in a Doom-person's body (though i never even played Quake, lol)
-These look like they pass in a 1992 Petersen kinda way. Though, even most of those Sandy maps had a bit of height variation.
-I get the impression that you like E2/E3 of Ultimate Doom from these layouts/themes. If that's the case, then consider it a compliment. I'm not as big of a fan of those episodes, but to each their own.
-I'm not sure if you mean E4 from UDoom, so i mention this just in case: I can't say I see the E4 here; the geometry is too planar, and the color scheme (in one of those shots) is too chaotic and scattered, which is very unlike E4 from Ultimate Doom.
-On the topic of colors, the Red+Grey+Black theme will generally look fine to most people, which i see in a couple of your pics. It's sort of a "safe" color scheme, and follows the formula: One Saturated Hue + Shades of Brown/Gray/Black. Think of Ribbik's "mainstream-safe" maps, when he's not off doing cool wacky personal stuff (eg: nefertiti.wad).
I also notice a lot of acute angles. Even though they pass in 90's doom, i have this weird urge to take sand-paper and shave them down when I see them. It's a personal itch of mine.
